    Default PowerThirst Revisited

Last year, I started a work log called Project: POWERTHIRST.
    http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/f...ad.php?t=22971

Life happened and I never got to finish it. After being in Birmingham with the baby in the hospital so much of this year, we've finally been home long enough for me to get back to work on things. Rather than pick up where I left off, I'm beginning a new log because some changes have been made to the existing set-up.

Before I get into the real work...and since it's Caturday...here's little man at home with one of the kitties.

The old project was a mess of wires. The res I had was not really fitting into the case like I hoped it would.

Everything was removed and the parts going back in were cleaned.

The RAM has been upgraded. I had 4x1G Crucial Ballistix Tracers and now have 4x4G G.Skill Ripjaws X Series.

The view inside the case is much cleaner this time.

    The new tubing installed...

The new res is a Primochill Myriad. Here it is installed and with some of Kayin's UV Green fluid.

    Starting to fill the loop...

And now...Pics of the fluid running in my system (which is up & running well)

There isn't a light installed to show off the UV reaction yet, but here's what it looked light when a light was held up to the res.

The inside work is just about finished. Now I have to work on the case itself and I'll actually (hopefully) have a finished project!

Looks like they are "cat napping"!!!

Nice clean up. Are you going to add some UV light to the case, because that looks bad to the bone!

    Good to see you back!

Glad that things have settled down to where you guys get to be at home more.

I like the red memory and bits on the mobo with the green fluid and sleeving. It works with out looking Christmas-ish. Nice clean install on the cables and tubing. Looks great.

I like that res bay. Pretty sweet looking with the green coolant.

Thanks! I was worried about it looking too Christmas-ish myself. The RAM happened to be red and there is a little bit of red on the mobo anyway so I figured I'd go for it and hope it didn't end up too festive.
