You could buy a Logitech ultimate controller, they can control your TV, DVD, anything, and has some controls on the computer too. I dont know if they can make it power up and anything, tho. That should be to look.

I missed this thread.. There is a pretty good guide on how to do it the diy way on Gideon Tech.

    http://www.gideontech.com/content/articles/204/1

On a side note.. This is the 4th time that someone has asked this same question since March.

    http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/f...ead.php?t=2414 - 3/27
    http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/f...ead.php?t=2874 - 5/23
    http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/f...ead.php?t=3616 - 7/31
    and this one..

I know that the older articles seem to drop of the forums after a while, but there is a Search link at the top of the page. Also there is an Archive link at the bottom, that will let you go through and look at the older posts. You can find some really great articles just going through the old posts, I recommend it. Just my 2cents..

On the hibernation question.. you can do that on WinXP with this method, you would just need to go into Control Panel > Power Options > Hibernate Tab.. Make sure that "Enable hibernation" is checked. Click apply and then when you go to the Advanced Tab, under the section "When I press the power button on my computer" Hibernate will show up in the drop down.

    Hope this helps..

This is an interesting idea; and one I might look into a bit more when I get to the end of my case creation.
