Hey yeah I play all my FPS on a single screen as the crosshair gets cut in half and aiming is impossible if I use two screens.

But I play all my rpg's, mmog like WOW and stratergy games strected across two screens.

Old games don't support the rez but they can be modded slightly to work this site http://www.widescreengamingforum.com has all the info on it.

Also some games will either want to be played single screen up 1024x768 and then they go into widescreen rez's no 1280x1042.

My screens rez is 2560 x 1024 I managed to run oblivion at that setting with full graphics and got 8fps on my 6800gt. So Play it on one screen.

They way I have it set up is the graphics card and computer are tricked into believe there is just one very wide screen when really there are two its an an option in the nVidia drivers.

The funny thing is when I got my first monitor 8ms 1280 x 1024 it was $700 (US$525) and then like a couple of year later I got the exact same monitor different stand and model number number but pretty much the same for $350 (US$262).

Its just because i was thinking of getting 2 x Samsung 19" widescreen monitors with 4ms responde... But now i am thinking this would be to big... so maybe 2 x 15" and 1 17" monitor for the centre and the 2 15" on eitherside...

That would be crazy rez and you would need either a maxtor tripple head go adaptor or a SLI setup to run 3 screens. Go with the two 19" you wont be disapointed.

Leading up to the finish of my exams on 7 nov I ordered some bits and bobs for the case. I am going to put a CS style diorama on the floor of my case. I have a few bullets with the powder removed and the tip glued back on and today I bought a cheap but cool looking rifle scope on ebay.

Can't wait to get back to it.

About that ammo, Chief...... did you deactivate the primers?

Modern gunpowder is considered a propellant, not an explosive (like the old black powder).

The primers, however, ARE considered explosives. Strike the primer, it explodes, shooting hot 'sparks' through teh flash hole, and into the case, where it ignites the powder. The powder burns with a predictable rate, increasing pressure and pushing the bullet down the barrel.

You have basically two choices.

1. Take a drop of motor oil, transmission fluid, etc. and drop it into the open end of the primer. Depending on the case, this could be impossible to do without a syringe and a loooong needle. The flash hole is a real small target. Not the way I would recommend.

2. Put the case in a vise (gently) and use a nail and hammer to tap the primer. Yes, there will be a very loud bang. Depending on the type of primer, folks might think there's a bit of shooting going on. I wouldn't recommend this either. A large rifle magnum primer can sure make your ears ring for a couple of days........I'm sure the neighbors won't appreciate it either......and the police are rather difficult when it comes to reports of shots fired.

Now, neither of those options are really optimal. Personally? I have the tools necessary to reload ammunition, and would pop the primer, soak it in transmission fluid for a few days, then clean it up and reseat it in the case. This is not an option if you lack the proper equipment, however, you may be able to find someone who DOES reload, and have them pop/deactivate/reseat the primers. Also, referring to the brass case. If you get a fingerprint on the brass, the oils on your skin will etch your fingerpring into the brass. I would recommend cleaning the round (a touch of brasso will put a shine on both the brass, and the copper jacket), seal it, and use gloves.

Messing with ammunition is a serious thing. I'd rather not see your posts start to pick up a ton of typos..........

What size rounds were you planning on using?

.45 would be good, nice wide case, you could deactivate the primer without pullng it.

9mm you can still get to the flash hole with a dropper.

30-06/.308 Not good. You can't get to the flash hole.

.223/7.62x39 Same thing. Pretty much all the rifle calibers are going to be next to impossible to get to the flash hole and guarantee your primer is deactivated.

They also sell something called a bullet puller. It looks sort of like a kid's hammer, made of plastic, but it works real well, doesn't deform the bullet, like pliers will.

If you're dead set on using demilled ammo in your build, locate a reloader, and enlist their help.
