There is no point in my opinion to get the 8800GTX. Go with the 8800GT. You get a good clock speed, SLI, and easily overclockable to the GTX speed. Not worth the money.

Check it out, I found the Tweaktown review of the 8800Ultra and the 8800GTS beats in almost every test!

If you buy the mobo and a single card with intentions of SLI then chases are you will hang out for the next king of the hill and not worry about SLI all together. But I still think the GTX is the better option over the GT's. Even though you can OC the GT's to stock GTX speeds you can OC the GTX even further. And as a added bonus the GTX has much better cooling and is no where near as loud as the GT.

NO GTS tested wioth a Q6600@ 3.3GHz Ultra with a E6600 @3.3GHz, GTS with DDR3 ULTRA with DDR2 And new drivers. 158.16 vs 169.06. So it's not fair.
My System with my 6600 @3.3GHz, lower speed RAM, gets 13610 GTX @600 Core 2100Mem, so in comparison the GTX and ULTRA appear to still be the better cards.
The CRysis one is the only one with the GTX, it beats it at 1920x1200 by 2 FPS and the GTX beats the GTS @ 1280x1024.
Cos the GT has such a ****ty small heatsink it gets extremely hot, around 70*c, that pushes the fan harder making it louder (anywhere between 50dba-70dba for 10cm).

They compare it to the GTX on the last page, in Crysis benchmarks.
It gets about .2 more FPS at high resolution.
I'm getting a pair on launch day. (GTS, not GTX)
