I'll admit it's buggy and filled with spam, but I'm sticking to my guns.

Surely I'm not the only Bebo user on TBCS?

I think its a great way to keep in touch with people that you normally don't keep in touch with, or even just to keep in touch with friends and family who you see on a regular basis. Social networking websites are great tools for people to use to keep in touch with and to get updates on people without having to spend hours on end talking to everyone you know. I don't want to call every person I know to find out how they're feeling, etc. That would take forever! And conversations have a tendency to go off topic really quickly and easily. So its kind of nice to just go to, say myspace for example, and just get the jist of things from people or even just to say "Hi how's it going?" or "Hey we should hang out sometime", etc etc.

Its also a great way for me to not forget people's birthdays.

(also great way to meet new people. :p I met my last girlfriend on myspace by warning her of some freaky stalker dude. lol)
People are stupid; given proper motivation, almost anyone will believe almost anything. Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People’s heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true. People are stupid; they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so are all the easier to fool.

It's how I keep in touch with my long-distance friends (friend from college in Phoenix, who now live all over the country, and one moved to austrailia as well). Its nice. Easier than a phone call, although not as personal. But its a quick and easy way to drop a hello or share some new pictures or whatnot.
