Didn't have much time to work this week. I did manage to do a little Sunday night.

    Sanded both windows.
And ordered the 1/4 inch (10.16mm) chrome window trim.

    Cut both plexi windows out.

And then marked off the steel doors.
I attached the plastic shells to make sure they still attached.
    They fit great still.

The metal doors will be covered with the plastic shell on one side,
and the leather on the other side.

Now that the windows are ready and fitted.
I'll paint the doors the two tone job I have planned, then add the trim, plexi
& put the Lamborghini name plate on.

    That's it for this update.

Cut out the windows in the steel doors.
Just need to smooth them down a little.

Forgot ... with the plastic shell snapped onto the steel door.
    Lying down, standing ...

No, me. First I was laying down, then decided to stand.

    Paint Booth Mod

After walking around Home Depot for a while, I came up with this cheap
ghetto version of an enclosed airbrush paint booth.

I thought it would run around $350 using PVC and expensive filters.
But ... I'm going to go with wood because it will be easier to build the
frame the way I want it. Tack on the tarps. And build the filter housing on
    both ends.

It will be basically the same though as this one.

Wood, $25 Trim board that will be anchored to the garage wall. 1"x2"x10'

100' for frame, door, and filter frame.

Tarps - two kinds to make sure I have enough. $9.67 + $11.57

And with tape for sealing $7.27

    Duct Fan $24.97

    Flexible 4" duct - $21.71

Cheap filters for the front $5.94

And a filter to mod for the 4" exhaust fan.

Now, will this work? The filters should keep airbrush spray inside the booth,
but will I get enough draw through them? Will the 4", AC duct fan
be strong enough for the exhaust. I think so. If not, I can go up to an 8" fan
    with reducing couplings.

    I guess we'll see.

But ... not bad for only (with tax) $118.07
Now, lets see if I can pull it off.

It should work okay. I am using the same fan you bought except in the 6" version, and it sucks fumes quite well. It actually sucks quite a bit of paint too, the front of my induction hood is CAKED in yellow paint... :]

Are you using any kind of a filter for your 6" duct fan? Or, are you letting the paint & fumes just go out the duct?

The US Government prohibits me from sharing that information.

This is all I will say, I may (or may not) not use a filter. At all. I know I should but I don't (possibly). Do you have any recomendations for filters (not like I need them, since I may use filters already)?

Dude... I am watching you like a hawk on this one.
I'm living in a rent house, but have told my wife that once we buy our own, I'm going to construct a paint booth similar to what you are doing. I am VERY interested in seeing how you fare on this endevor.

Keep up the excellent work, and I anxiously await your updates!
