    Default Custom relay help

I am considering designing a custom relay for a stealth mod I am working on. However, it has the on/off rocker switch. I don't want to put in a push-type switch, as that would defeat the purpose of stealth. I also don't want to have to flick the switch on then back off.

What I was considering was taking advantage of 5vSB and 3.3v. When the switch gets turned on, it shorts out the power-on header, until there is 3.3v. Then, when I need to hard-turn it off, it shorts the header until there is no 3.3v.

Is it possible, and if so, how?

This is what I did for a Cobra-matic. It pulses when first switched to open the relay and then closes the relay. IIRC, the circuit for off was handled through the phidgets board but you could double up on this to handle the on-off scenarios.

    Thanks, Mach!

I knew I had seen SOMETHING like this.

Now, to get parts, MOBO, etc...
