Default Pci thingy? need some help!

I have an idea for a project that i may undertake, and there is something i want to get for it, but i cant for the life of me think of what its called.
Its basically a card you plug into a pci slot, then plug a pci card into it, but its a right angle, so the pci card ends up running parallel to the motherboard.
Anyone know what im talking about and what these things are called?

Also, does anyone know if you can get them for pci-e and agp cards?

    Thanks!

Yes ... as above google search riser card and the type you want. You can get combined multi-slot ones too.

    Heres an AGP one

Here's a whole page of PCI Express ones including 1x -> 16x riser/converters and all variations on that theme.

    You can also get multi-risers with extension cables 1 x AGP + 1 x PCI or 2 x PCI + 1 x PCI-e x16 for example. here's an AGP+PCI one:

Yea, you're talking about a riser card. To old nerds it's called a daughter board.
If you're planning on having more than 2 devices in that riser, I would highly suggest PCI 64-bit instead. 32 bit PCI just doesn't cut the cake nearly as well these days.

    As for PCI-E? No clue.
    AGP? Not that I've seen.

    Ouch.

I was reading this thread, and I go like Riser card? That's a daughter board for sure.

    Then I read:

What I've been looking for is very similar to a riser card. Im looking for something like that but is more like a ribbon cable and would allow you to place the card anywhere.

    Ooo! Oooo!
    Gimme a minute.

XmasTree provided this link on my workthread... it's a PCMCIA extension, but you might find something in that company's website.
    I did a quick look-over, but didn't find it.

    Good luck!

I think this may be the mother of all examples of what you seek:

    2 x PCI + 1 x PCI Express X16 Riser with 7cm Flexi Cable

Or if it's just for your PCI-E Graphics adapter this one has an 11cm flexi cable (EDIT after a bit more digging 11cms is the longest I can find):
