    Small update

I know I promissed you a bigger update, but I forgot that my girlfriend has nightshift this weekend and sleeps during the day.
It wouldn't be really nice of me if I would starting sawing and routing during the day would it

But I do have a few things to show, so for the curious folks around here's a tiny update

First of all my tool collection got an extra tool added to it this week thanks to an early "Sinterklaas" present (Wikipedia Explanation)) from my parrents. I borrowed their Jigsaw en that's why they new exactly what to give me

It's a nice addon to my collection and I'm saving up for a tabledrill and a sanding machine myself.

Last weekend I went to a fellow dutch modder "43prcnt burnt" and picked up a stacker motherboard tray which he had bought for his project "Red Storm Ten" but didn't use. I was able to take it of his hands for a small amount of money and parts of it will be used for my poject.

In the meantime I also finished the first two molds for milling the acryl panels. I'm going to make a duplicate of both before I actually start milling the panels, so I can clamp the Acryl-Panels in between these two molds. But first there's a lot of sanding left to do

My dad bought a mill last week, but he (and I hehe) are still figuring out how it works There are quite some additional tools and accesoires, and he's planning to use it for building a living room table.
In fact you want to make something like this panel, you create a template, use a bit and then follow the template? And the wheel on the milling bit should prevent you from milling into your template. Right? (and every mistake in the template will be visible in the final product hehe)
    My TBCS worklogs:

    HTPC Onkyo look(active!)
    Alien Hospital(on hold) - Chemical Industrial(finished) - Cosmod(finished)
    Other finished projects:
    I-spider - Chemical Overdose - The Praetorian

Thanks for the compliments but I hope you meant the "base" of the work that I've done so far, because I would hate to disappoint you by saying that the last 2 pictures are just the molds for routing my acryllic-panels and the baseplate, and not yet the actual baseplate of the case

That's exactly how I'm working with the Plunge Router (a.k.a. Mill ) ferry, but like you said, there are a lot of different router bits available and all kinds of ways to get to your endresult, just grab some leftover pieces of wood and try them out

You are absolutely right that the template/mold needs to have as less imperfections in it as possible, but once you get it right you can use it over and over again (and that's exactly what I need here)

we are having some server problems the past few weeks, once a while it just seems to lock up except for the server remote admin page from which we can reset the server after which it works perfect again.

We are currently trying to figure out what is going on, together with the server rental company.

    Lol! NP m8!

On the contrary, your remark gave me inspiration to think about adding another dimension to the base of the case, not the exact same shape as the acryl panels, but just maybe I'll add some more depth to it.
