You need firebug, its a firefox plugin which will let you inspect lines of the code by selecting them in the page and you can also edit them in realtime (it only saves to a temp file though).
Its great for even just finding your way around a page source.
It would take far to long to explain all of its features but get it, even if you dont use it for this it will come in handy sometime.
Cool, thanks guys. Im beat right now but hopefully this afternoon I can get some more work/tinkering done. Last night I was up till 2am playing around with it.
I added the forums on there, but I think Im going to strip it out and add it down the road once I actually get all the content I want up. Do a howtofixapc.com 1.1 or something lol. It seems easy enough to work with but Im only one person and I don't want to stretch myself to thin right off and end up with 100 things only half done compared to 20 things done real well.
Ill update later with my progress.
Edit: So yes, all the images in the template folder can be changed. Think I still have to go through the code to change the background color and stuff, but now I know it is possible. The really should impliment a way to do that within the actual CSM and not have to go digging for things.
You can see the changes if you clear your cookies (if they are enabled). I wasn't trying to make it look good. Just was in paint. Just was trying to see if It would actually change it or if there were backup files somewhere or something. Now I know its possible, so i just have to choose a template that has a layout that I like and change all the images and colors after that.
i like the page, looks very clean.it took forever to load on my compy @ school though... :S
internet here is not the best so I'm sure thats all it is.

Thanks billygoat. That is all just temporary. Ive been working on it offline and will change it all when I get more done. Its all going to take a while though. Theres a lot of content to make as well as well as daily life stuff. Hopefully it will be a lot farther in development in the next few months i.e. articles, completed site, etc.
But don't worry it will progress. Im just not going to fool myself and think I can get a website of high quality up within a few weeks with everything I have going on. Only so much one busy man can do, but I will do it as I am very motivated on this.
thats cool. I understand about bein busy. I work and go to school full-time, so i have no time to do other things. like make webpages. although i did make the website for my work...
http://www.cdworldidaho.com
check it out. flash based, so might take a while to load on slow connections. html site has been kicked around, but again, lack of time makes for slow progress!

Thats cool. As for time, its not that I don't have enough but more of a "I just put up the site and I want it perfect now" type of thing. Content doesn't appear out of nowhere and I know that. So I am giving myself 6 months to get the site done structurally, and I am shooting for atleast 10-15 articles written and published on it by that time. It may not seem like a lot, but that is a lot for one person as I have learned.
GOD AM I EXCITED AND MOTIVATED TO WORK ON THIS SITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just got bored and was wondering how my blog was doing on google rankings seeing how I hadn't wrote in a month and recently started writing again.
Googling:
mind-breach (I'm number Freaking two!!!)
mind breach (I'm number 4 and 5(well 4 1/2 i guess maybe))
mind breach blog (I'm number 3 and 4(same deal))
So I decided to check out how the new website is doing just out of curiosity.
"how to fix a pc" ( Its number freaking 15!!! Middle of second page)
Looking now for it without quotes. Of course howtofixapc.com is number 1 as well.
I am sooooo excited. There isn't any content up, as I am working on it and already I am getting some decent ranking with the site. A little work on some meta keywords and some content and I think my goal of 6 months having a decent site and ranking is definitely doable. I am so motivated to continue working on content. This makes me really happy. I know its nothing all that great but atleast I know it has a lot of potential. Wow...
On top of that Project Nightrain is nearing completion (although I haven't updated it...waiting to get some white sheets and get some nice pics up instead of crappy ones)
Things are starting to look good. And yesterday I felt like crap. This site always cheers me up for some reason... None of these things would be possible without you guys. Thanks

Thanks Matthew. You were a ton of help and the final motivation on actually going for it. I know its going to take a while to get it where I want, but I know it can be great. Decent rankings with nothing, imagine what it can do with good content.
You guys are great, all of you.
Now off to tend to my fingers. Was cutting some bolts and usually they don't get to hot to fast. Ive cut a ton of em just holding it, and it takes a while for them to get warm/hot.This one, the damn thing heated up enough to burn the hell out of me in less than a second. One darn bolt conducted heat so damn well compared to the others apparently. Off to tend the modding wounds. Now ive learned to hold with bolt with pliers or a vice and not my hands. Damn.
