Thread: Project: New Mustang GT

    I'm back with updates.

    Used some dremel grinding tools

Also every shape and size of file you could possibly need.

    The side panel

The shape of things to come.

I cut a hole for a top fan.

The fan has to be on top of the case because it just barely wont fit with the psu and dvd drive in place. Plus all the wires from that.

I will be using a plastic trash can to create the hood scoop.

I realize now that I am going to need some air vents or something on top of the hood scoop if I want the fan to get any air. The tiny front hole just wont be enough. I might need a redesign.

You might try to raise the front of the scoop by making a wedge shaped piece to go under the sides, that would give you a bigger opening in front.

or drop the front of the fan down to the level of the top of the case it should work at low RPM's

What about making the portion of the scoop that's over the fan out of mesh of some kind? Painted the same as the rest of the scoop?

Well I made some wedge shaped pieces like msmrx57 suggested.
You cant really see them in either of these two pictures but they are there.
I covered the framework with some more plastic and then bondoed over that.

Used masking tape to keep the bondo from falling through the holes.

I decided I needed more room for hard drives than only two bays, but my new front fan is in the way of the old second bay spot. So I drill some holes and riveted it to the side of the case.
    Before:

    And after:

The removable bay to the left goes inside of the one I riveted.

Now back to the hood scoop.
I did another layer of bondo.

    That's all for today folks!

I currently have €10 (about $14) but I'm going to help my dad with some remodeling work so maybe I'll make enough money to do a mod, if I don't break down and get a meizu m8 that is, those things are nice!
