    Default Project XBlueXmodX

In my other project thread, you've noticed an Xbox with the x painted dark blue metallic. I'm gonna install a modchip into it; the Xecuter 3 CE Modchip.

I'll start my log when I get the parts in the mail.

Have you seen this mod chip for the XBOX?

    http://www.modchipstore.com/Xodus-Xe...ial-16182.html

I like to use modchipstore.com for these types of things btw. They have been around forever. Also, Llamma.com has some stuff for xbox mod stuff.

oh by the way, if you don't know how to solder, I advise getting a solderless adapter for any mod chip you purchase.

Got the modchip in the mail today. Got all the connectors and stuff installed, but I gotta borrow my friend's cold heat solderer to finish the job. Pics tomorrow.

Well they heat up super fast, then they cool down even faster. My guess is that they are able to do that because of the material they use for the tips. Which are probably "fragile" like armadilloben has pointed out. I think they work fine from what I hear, just be careful with it so you don't have to buy new tips all the time.

    How's the Install going Mitternacht?

Sorry about not uploading the pics, my parents' Compaq is sorta out of commission (spyware). It's that computer I use to upload the pics off of the SD memory card; docking bay for cards. Well, I picked up the thinnest solder from one of my teachers, Tomaino, the coolest old man you'd ever meet. I'm borrowing the cold heat solderer off of my friend Tim. He should be bringing it into school today so I can get it, and finish this thing tonight.
