    Default Project: Ice Cream Headache

Remember back in day when I did a CraftStick Airplane PC? Well, even though a lot of people hated that project and wished I never did it. I still thought it was fun and wanted to revisit the idea. This time, however, I will make a case of craftsticks!

    1st side is done

I don't want the case to be any wider than a CD/DVD drive

So I started by adding the lip on which the drive rests on

    Like so....

Then I created the top and bottom of the case just wide enough

    Second side is done

I use extra drives to stand it up

Then I make the lip wider

    And stand both sides up

    Then carefully add the top

Next comes the bottom. Adding the PSU helps press down the sticks for the glue to dry

The bowing sides will go away when the rest of the supports are added

Time to build the supports. This will cover the area below the DVD drive

Then the lip to the sides where the front will rest

Once it's added, I rest drives on top to even out the glue

After just four hours, I'm nearly done

haha this is awesome. its like 1 step up from cardboard modding. I love ghetto cases, and this one is gonna look really nice once you finish it. will have a cool, wood shanty look to it.

and I thought the craftstick airplane was cool.

I don't recall having anything against that little airplane, just as I can't think of anything to hold against this case. If it were me, I'd use twice as many and cut the rounded ends off and put way too much thought and detail into something that's just an amusing proof-of-concept.

+rep for revisiting the popsicle sticks!

So I measured out the back IO ports and PSU

    And started on it

I then cut out some sticks for the front bottom to even it out

Here's just a shot of what the inside looks like

Next I framed out the CD drive. In this case beige really is the perfect color

Look at the front closely and you'll see the "V" pattern I glued on to break up the normal look of the craft sticks

I'm still working on the back though

I created a small bridge over the PSU to anchor the rest of the back to

Then added some sticks to hold the PSU in place

And I am done! Enjoy the rest.

    Thanks for Watching
