Hey there guys! I am just about to start modding my first pc case, a mini project for my girlfriend to practice for bigger things. So I've joined this forum to ask some rookie questions and get some tips. Now I'm off to ask some painting questions.

See you around :)

Hey guys,

Yep it's the new guy. I have never modded a computer before but always found it interesting. So I was browsing the web and found this site. Anyway I have a few ideas in mind, but hope to learn more about it before attempting anything. First idea is mainly because my friends say its a dumb idea and why even attempt it. My answer is "Because I can" So anyway enough ramblings for now.

Cheers,

JULO

Hello, I am new to this forum so I thought I would say Hello. I have built several PCs and I rarely buy retail as I have certain requirements that are not fulfilled buying from a retail store. I recently put together a AMD based PC, my first, I usually build Intel. I came to this forum because I have a problem with my RaidMax case and want to add a mod which I have never done before. Maybe this will be my first of many mods as I find modding cases interesting, but I have never really had the time until now.

Hi everyone, this is my first post. I have been building computers since IBM came out with the XT10 (286 - 16Mhz with 32 - 64 megs ram. I can't remember which) I paid approximately $2500 for the computer. It was the first time I ever opened a computer and found out how easy it was to build and started from there. MY actual first computer was a Radio Shack TRS-80 Model 1 with some assembly language as well as basic language required. Will be asking a lot of questions an hopefully give some good advice also. :D

Hey all.

I have looked over some of the work in here, and i really want to do my own now. It would be my first time making it from zero, and i hope to find some help and tips on TBCS :)

My plan so far is to make a pirate chest case. I want to make it look real, like wood and iron over a see through case with red light, so u would be able to see it though the spaces made of the wood.

..and great work all. :D

Attention New Members make this thread your first post!

Whoops. Crap, sorry. Uh, better late than never?

[noob Edit]

Oh, hi, I'm the new guy. "recycled" might be more accurate.

PC modding ... ah, well I'm more into the logic, microcontrollers and electronics, nuts & volts, hardware hacks. Performance, reliability, features. Make it work faster, better, stronger. Max engineering focus, quality materials and precision craftsmanship matter, artistic appeal nope. Cosmetic just isn't really a priority for me. Well, unless it's just so damned ghetto beige that *anything* would be a visual upgrade. The computer - like the 800lb gorilla - can pretty much look as ugly as it wants if it's pushing 6 cores at 5Ghz and 100fps. Not that my embarassingly old current system does anything of the sort, but a man can dream.

btw, how do I get a Canada flag by my name?

@Konrad: You say you want one here (http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12741)

It was supposed to be the first? Oh, well, 247th isn't that far away.

My name's Albin, I'm a Swedish student and I'm 17 years old.

I've been interested in computers for a long time but the hardware part only since about a year back since starting..well there's no real US equivalence but you go to a basic school for nine years and then a more specialized school for three years and then 4 more years at an even more specialized school. The last two are voluntary. Anways since starting the three year school I got more interested in building stuff and as a result I'm now building my first case.

Gday all, I've been into computers as long as I can remember, know my way around them pretty well and I've just recently gotten interested in modding after seeing some cool cases in various places. I've sort of started planning on my own project and hopefully if I keep it up (budget and frustration being the factors there) I'll have a work log to upload one day.

Hello guys, Timlander here. I registered here so that I could take a look at all the awesome case mods and well as possibly post my own here soon. Since I love doing case mods myself I am always seeking new and great moding website such as this. I am currently in college getting degrees in CIT and business admin. Iv been moding and water cooling for about 2 years now, but building custom PC's since around 1998. So I suppose that's about it. :D

Hello, I'm new! *duh* lol

I'm working on a custom case for my computer, Its an old Lane furniture Cedar cabinet that was really beat up looking so I refurbished it and turned that sucker into a huge case! My computer is running in the cabinet right now but as a modder things are never really "done" there is still much more to do to this cabinet, I'm looking for a thicker motherboard tray hopefully out of steel or thick aluminum, I'm also planning on building my own water cooling system completely out of polished Copper even the lines!
So far my plan for that is...
Two LARGE Pickle jars as reservoir's TWO brand new copper heater cores for a 60's Ford Mustang, a few Thermaltake Aquabay M4 HDD Waterblock's, EK Waterblocks EK-Supreme HF - Full Copper - Rev 2, and I'm up for suggestions for the other waterblocks as long as its 100% copper... I also need a large pump I was thinking of raiding the pond supply section at the hardware store, Any suggestions?

09-15-2010, 10:54 PM
Hi I'm BobDa.

I started building my own computers back when Half-Life 2 came out a few years back. I tried my hand at some light mods, painting and dvd drive stealthing but nothing major.

I've been out of the PC loop for the last four years due to joining the military and living in Japan from 2007-2009. One would think Japan would be a haven for a computer geek... but alas living on base with dial up being the only(and extremely expensive) option for internet makes spending big bucks on a pc pretty useless.

Well now I'm a civilian again with a lot more spare time on my hands than I've been used to. What to do what to do? Get back into modding that's what! Right after I build myself an up to date gaming pc I plan on buying a spare case for the sole purpose of modding. I absolutely love anything post apocalyptic so that will more than likely be the inspiration for my first full fledged mod.

I joined this website to learn what I can from you extremely talented folks, and once I begin modding I will be sure to make a log and share it with all of you!

Hi. My name is Adam. I'm new here. I hope this doesn't violate any rules, but I wanted to give Cribbage fans a chance to "beta-test" a Cribbage-like game that I invented with a friend over the past couple of weeks.

We're biased, of course, but we both enjoy it more than Cribbage. It's more challenging, more dynamic, can turn on a dime, and has a sort of "game-within-the-game" aspect that adds a whole different level. Cribbage players will pick it up pretty easily, but it has some major differences that really make it its own game.

I'm not trying to sell anything; I just wanted to pass it along and get feedback. The rules are pretty well complete, but I'm definitely open to suggestions.

Anyway, you can view the rules here:

http://exelgraf.com/absolute-zero.htm

There's contact info on the Web page, and you can download the rules as a Rich Text document.

Thanks! I hope to hear from you. If it catches on, you can say you were there when it happened.

Halloo,

First I'd like to say that you guys are amazing, from bored teenagers to geezers with way too much free time this community has it all... Pretty awesome.

Annnyywhoo, I've been lurking around the modding community for over 10 years now but I've always been stuck at the sidelines, I have gotten a few projects started in the past but it seems like I was cursed or something because every time I started something life would kick up a fuss and one way or another everything found its way into the garbage at the expense of a girlfriend, or family, or moving... or god knows what else.

Hopefully life butts out for a little while and my latest project won't end up in the trash but regardless where it goes I wanted to sign up for a forum account so I could share the experience... good or bad. :D

Hello everyone!

Just thought after seeing all the brilliant mods coming from out of these forums, I'd join up and hopefully spread some of my own creativity!

I plan on starting my CM Stacker 810 Worklog very soon. I have to source a new panel beforehand, as the person I got the case from did some shoddy work and actually cut into the edge of it, which I was able to clean up, but there is a gap now **will upload pics later** which ruins the whole panel.

Anyways, I hope to get to know everyone and I'll ttyl!

Greetings all!

Build my first computer my sophomore year in HS (1991) and now I work on/teach computers and communications for the military (depending on my assignment). I joined due to the wealth of worklogs to help me find inspiration for my first build which I've named Causality.

In a fit of insomnia, I tore apart an AC powered adapter that I use for priming my water loop with the PC off and drew up a quick diagram on how to throw a switch to disengage power from the PSU and power the pump from that adapter. Less of a pain to prime the system when I don't have to open the case, disconnect wires, etc. That and I discovered that Swiftech fill ports + spare 1/2 ID barb = nice pass through for running water through panels.

Hello everybody, or shall I say everymoddy!

I'm from Madras City, India - home of Ritchie Street - the big electronics market.

I bought my first PC in 2000, a Pentium III 800EB MHz Coppermine with 64MB SDRAM and a 20GB HDD on an SiS 630 chipset based mobo and a 50x CD ROM drive, all in a mini tower case. (The machine is still in use, with different mobo and case).

Tinkering with that PC started some time around 2004 (it was in a mid tower case by then) when I decided to switch the hard drives around to put the OS on the 7200 RPM drive (before that I was too scared to even open the mini tower case to install an additional 128 MB RAM and a new LG GCE-8520B CD RW!:?). That is when I noticed empty 80mm fan slots and this set off my quest to get the best airflow. One thing led to another and it has been no turning back since then!

I assembled my own machine in 2006 (first build based on a P4 506 2.66Ghz - still running as my main machine!) and have built seven more since then. I've been doing a few simple mods, mostly just switching fans around etc, and recently did some voltmodding to reduce fan noise (first 7v and then switched to 5v to be on the safer side).

My most recent mod was inspired by (infact I replicated..) Spawn-Inc's 12v to 5v on the fly switch (http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18428). I just finished making one switch last night. It is not perfect yet and am looking to improvise (can't get to solder properly yet, need practise!!). I shall post a detailed report and pictures some time later, maybe when its all done.

I work full time. I get to do mods only during my spare time (wish I had lots of that!!!), and I do modding (very minor tinkering) only once in a few months!

I do not have many 'pro' casemodding tools as of now. Just getting started. I hope to do some decent DIY mods in the future. I've got a long long way to go:)

This is my first post. I joined this forum to learn how to modify computer cases and to make a computer that looks as good as it performs. I have been building computers for several years now, and to date, I have focused mostly on overclocking.

I am gathering parts for a new computer build, which will be based on a Coolermaster HAF X case. It is my hope that the knowledge in this forum will make it a build to remember.

Hello all,

New member here. Looking forward to getting to know the community and some of what I know, which isn't much

Other than using a pc and gaming, I really enjoy painting them. I'm part of the airbrush forum community, which more or less has led me here.

See ya around :)

Hi all,

Simply put, because of this thread (http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1), I have joined you all as a Member. Not only that, but because of Crimson Sky's amazing work, I was compelled to build an arcade cabinet based upon the in-game "Super Turbo Turkey Puncher 3" from Doom 3.

Click on my sig, if you'd like, and you'll see my build information.

Hey there guys...what a fab website/forum to be created. Ive had a look at nearly all the mods that you guys have done, that is what made me want to join. It is also what inspired me to change my next PC design. As i have built a gaming PC in the past, i just thought it was all a bit tooo easy, i wanted a challenge, so i thought modding your case would be ideal for me!

Hopefully it will have an AMD/ Nvidia theme to it, so Nvidia's green and blacks, with UV parts and green LED's. With a green and black paint job. Hopefully it will be watercooled too. I was thinking about modding the reservoir too.
This build isnt going to be the cheapest or the most expencive.
The case is nearly the most expencive bit, it is going to be the LIAN LI pc-888, such an awsome case with an awsome design. I will be fitting an AMD phenom x6 core CPU being watercooled, with 460gtx in SLi both watercooled.

I will need guidence as i have never done anything like that, so i hope you guys will be able to help me in the near future...
thanks for reading

regards

Sam

Sorry didn't read the rules till I the 3rd day of my membership, so this is NOT my 1st post. I'm a real life acquaintance of mDust and have LONG talked about his computer problems/fixes/ideas and has on more than one occasion taught me a thing or two about computers. I wanted to join up and learn more as I have TOO much time on my hands and like to build things with them. I have a sorry excuse for a PC but it plays all current games just fine. I don't overclock
though not against it. As for modding I fixed my 360 3rings of death using about $35 worth of supplies and have built mine and my GF's PC from scratch and even had to straighten the pins on my GF's processor when mDust bent them because he was used too Intel and it's still running after 4 years! Also I'm new to forums so navigating everything here is gonna take me awhile and as soon as I get my PC specs up for viewing you can all start laughing!

I am hoping to get a solution to this problem:
I am an artist. I paint on plain ol' clear flat glass using a heavy-bodied, heavily-pigmented glaze product.
http://kenforst.tumblr.com/

I want to do away with the rather heavy wooden frames I have been using and instead, use 1.5 x 1.5 x 3" styrene plastic boxes attached directly to the back side of the glass at the corners. (The other end of the boxes are drilled to accept the hanging hook or nails or whatever.)

This arrangement allows the maximum ambient light to reflect off the wall and pass through the painting, thus eliminating any need for added light sources that involve wires, batteries, etc.

The problem is finding an adhesive I can trust to provide a secure, permanent grip on both the glass and the styrene. I have tried epoxies and clear plastic adhesives (Devcon Weldit), and nearly lost the art.

My other alternative may be to drill holes in the glass (I have done this before) and run carriage bolts through the glass and the boxes, and attach some kind of looped fixture to the 'wall' end for the hanging hardware. As you may imagine, this would be VERY nerve-wracking, considering what I stand to lose if a crack happens.

So that's it, I would appreciate any questions and comments.

Thanks.

Hi Guys, been lurking for awhile but figured I would finally make my first post. I just started a IT services company earlier this year in Arkansas but my true passion is system building and customization. Ill have some basic builds coming up as I build about 3-5 computers a week figured I might as well post stuff up so maybe someone can learn from my triumphs or mistakes.

Welcome gta3uzi and DrkSide! As for you Kenforst, I'm reserving judgement. I'm not sure if you are a spammer or not.

My say would be to drill holes in the glass before you do the glazing. You can make them a little big since they will shrink a little when you fire the glazing. Then put some rubber grommets in the holes and then decorative mounting hardware.

Good evening TBCS Universe.

I have built many PC's over the last Umpteen years and felt its time to say hello on your site. I have not spent must time/effort on modding the case of a system but I sometimes tweak the internal hardware, and software to its limits.

Hey everyone, I love this site, been browsing it for a year or so now, there are such awesome works of creativity here.

TBCS is actually one of the things that has inspired me to go ahead and work on my own case mod of sorts - hopefully you'll see it in the worklogs section soon - I'm going to be building the ULTIMATE COMPUTER DESK !

(Caps for emphasis heh)

Anyways, I've been messing around with computers ever since I was 8, and I remember when 1MB of RAM was considered ludicrous, so I've been doing this a while.

Case mods have been limited to a little hacking here and there with the dremel, but not too much more than that.

My favorite tools are the table saw and the router!

Seeyou all around!

Hello Everybody! A Facebook friend of mine pointed me to this site when I was working on my newest build, and I'm impressed with the depth of knowledge & quality of work in the mods I've seen here.

I've been building PC's for about 6 years, but I've really gotten into modding in the past year or so. Got some ideas floating around in my head, others sketched out, & one or two I'm working on that I hope to post up here someday. (Speaking of which, would anyone be interested in a tractor-themed mod? Having grown up on a farm, I'm thinking of something in John Deere (TM) Green...)

Anyhow, glad to be here & for any help I can give or any I receive.

"Hello, world!"
I've been interested in computers since I was eight-yrs.-old. Now that I'm heading to my junior year in high-school, I've stopped and wondered what I would be doing after graduation. I'm always tinkering with my family's hardware and I'm already in the middle of my first case-mod; given these points to look at, I thought maybe opening up a boutique (replace with manlier word) / brick-and-mortar / studio revolving around PCs in my hometown.

I know that I'm getting into this really early, yet would still appreciate any advice. Your guys' mods are better than most others (and DEFINITELY beet the standard cases used on retail PCs.) I'd be lucky if my mod turns out nearly as awesome as some of your basics. Here's to hoping.

As requested, an intro:

My primary interest is quiet air cooling, and taking advantage of consumer-grade quality and priced parts when possible. To give you an idea where I'm coming from, my gaming machine recently moved from a CM 590 into a HAF 922 for the 200mm fans; it's hard for 140mm Yate Loons to compete. The 922 was cheaper than a couple of Noctua fans. On the other hand, the Sonata cases work pretty well for me for lower performance systems if I'm careful what I put in them. So I have low-brow tastes.

I overvolt dual video cards, which creates a lot of heat. To keep them quiet, I use aftermarket heatsinks (which then use larger diameter fans, directly or indirectly.) With multiple heat sources with different dynamic cooling needs, the easy answer is "turn on all the fans" which works but is loud. And wrong, since the side fan probably needs to be running lower than the top fan, and so on. I can attempt this with a manual fan controller; without good logging I'll never really know anyway.

I doubt I'll paint a single thing, and the pinnacle of aesthetics for me is hiding cables and clipping out LEDs. So why am I here? I decided embedded controllers are probably part of the solution and the micro forum here is one of the few places I've found talking about doing the kinds of things I want at the hobby level.

In particular, I'd really like to see the Arduino grow a set of common PC management tools and recipes so other people can put together the parts without figuring out how to, for example, combine fan speed control with RPM monitoring. I expected this to exist, but a lot of solutions won't work together, or have unacceptable problems like audible PWM noise when used with quiet PC fans.

Hello all, first post - new member.

I joined because I have -for some time now been watching all the mods in here and there are all (most ) (: very innovative and full off insperation for me :D

I'm not that much in to the extreme modding, but I really like a tidy and stylish case. So I use alot of time cable managing :P

So tell me, would a non-modded Antec P183 be welcome in this forum?

By non-modded, I mean no cuts and/or reingenering of the case.

But I will promise you all . . . when my parts are ordered, I will upload a nice, tidy and eye-catching setup.

Thank you, and good day to you all.

Hi All,

My name is ASPHIAX and I live in the Netherlands. Have been building PC's for years now and just a couple of months I ventured into watercooling. I AM TOTALLY ADDICTED NOW!!! My first case was a dragonlord K62 with a XSPC 750Kit and additional rad and some fans. Good Fun! But it soon wasnt enough and I found myself powertooling my case and bending PLEXI-Glas with my wife's hairdryer. :D

I will post some pics of the dragonlord later, it is just a nice complete pc.

My new project is much , much (MUCH!!) bigger in more then one way. I want to post some pics but I'm going to wait a little longer to give a better idea of what I am trying to do. Extreme credits to the people that have some of the most wildest and beautifull cases already on this forum!

Thanks and I will see you around !

i didn't notice this thread when i signed up teh otehr day.

anyway, i've been building custom pcs for (modded if you will) for about 10 years now. my first was a proxy server utilizing 3 motherboards. each running an amd k-6 450mhz processor. yeah i know, that's painfully slow by today's standards.

anyway, i posted up in the "your mods" section an ibm 5150 that i had stuffed modern componentry into. i also have a dead power supply that has a nice extruded aluminum case and an acrylic cover. if i could just fins mobo small enough taht i could afford, i'd start a worklog on building that thing.

so far this place looks like it has a lot of helpful people and oodles of ideas.

catch you all around,

One thing I've been really interested in is PCB's and how to get started, I've always wondered how things work and i'm willing and wanting to learn, can anyone point me in the right direction? Watching you guys do all these cool stuff to made me decide to do some real modding. I mod my case before but it was a rush job so all I was able to do was cut a part on the top panel and replaced it with plexiglass. Already have started modding my mom's old computer case. Will post the worklogs once I'm done. Hope it turns out good. :D

Hi All, My Names Richi from London UK, been modding for a while, would say I am average even though I have been doing PC mods since well put it this way the first mod i done was with a AMD athlon 1000mhz (it had just been released) it was a window (and back then I used a proper window rubber)..

My big mods i have done are

Fusion AA (an acrylic rig with custom hand etching)
Project Mini Impossible (A intel quad core mini ITX rig with GTX 285 and OCZ flex memory and CPU, memory and GPU watercooled all in a Case designed on google sketchup)

My current Mod in progress is a BMW mpower themed level 10 case, with the whole watercooling loop on the Mobo tray.

I will post a few pics once I have comfirmed a few things from Mods on here... looks like a great community.

Hey everyone,

I'm Joeri from Belgium, and i've been secretly watching TBCS for few years :devious: :whistler:
Done 1 mod in the past to try it out and to see what i could do on my own although TBCS helped me a bit with it too.
Busy with a project curently although i'm using the pc atm and it's just light modding of a NZXT Khaos
Also need this project for school to do my lecture at the end of this semester (late May).
Maybe in the future i'll try to start with some more serious mods. (i hope :crossed:)
Hope to learn and do more while i'm here.

Hey everyone. Sam from FL. Haven't really had time or money to get into any hobbies like this in the past, but I'm doing 'em now.

Got big plans to build a somewhat budget custom gaming computer with a lot of customization. My current desktop is like 10+ years old now. Also planning on taking the 6 xbox 360 controllers and 1 system I have to do some side panel cutouts and led work. Just to teach myself and learn. I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions.

Hi Everyone,

I haven't bought a ready-made machine since the IBM PC-1 in 1979. Many machines and mods but not into the competition :-) Totally wired a 6502 machine pre-PC.

Now mostly into building microcomputer stuff like this: http://yourduino.com/camera-control.htm

...with Arduino. I have a site with a lot of information on that here:
http://yourduino.com

I'm a long-time parts scrounger and now I have access to the incredible Shenzhen, China parts scene. I also started a online shop with my Chinese friend: http://www.arduino-direct.com/sunshop/

I have built some rack-mount cases for typical motherboards.

I'm looking at all the Xtreme stuff you guys do. Cool!!

Don't worry about "basic".. Basic is buying a pc from walmart and using it till it dies without even taking the spec stickers off of the front..... A mod is a mod and they ALL count....

They also almost all lead to more mods

Greetings to all members of The Best Case Scenario! I have been visiting this forum for some time now, but I now have finally decided to join it. I currently am not working on any custom computer builds, but I have built my own computers in the past and certainly have some ideas for future projects. Plus, I can ask for any technical assistance from the users of this forum, as they seem to have great knowledge in many areas.

To briefly describe myself, I am (in order of importance) male, twenty-three years old at the time of this post, Caucasian (Anglo-Saxon, to be more specific), reside in the United States (I was born here and have lived here for my entire life), have fair skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes, an am fond of computers and all subjects relating to them. I recently attained CompTIA A+ certification, and I am now studying for CompTIA Network+ certification, which I am hoping will improve my chances of finding a career that I shall enjoy.

I am very glad to be a member of this forum, and expect that I shall enjoy my time here.

Allo!
One of the turning points in my life was when I was in 11th grade, my grandparents computer died, my mom's computer died, and my dad had a dead computer. For some reason everyone gave me their dead tower. Two of them were the old Packard Bells. 166mhz processor, 8-16 mb ram, and a whopping -8X- cdrom drive! That's when I discovered I'm pretty intuitive with electronics. Having never opened a computer before, I took those three computers and mixed the working parts together to create my own. Of course, I had a lot of incentive. This was back in the Gateway days, where a personal computer wasn't in every home, and most people who had one leased theirs (aah, moo-cow box), so the idea of me having my own computer in my room was intoxicating. I took my first computer apart on my bedroom floor, carpet, without a static bracelet. (Didn't have any issues.) A little while later, I had my own computer. I even got my own ISP since I had a job. (Yay Earthlink!)
I've been taking computers apart ever since, and as technology has advanced, I've learned about it from taking it apart. "Oh, so that's what a SATA connection looks like."
I have four computers currently, 3 of which work. Two laptops and two desktops. I bought one computer in my entire life. A $1700 laptop in june, 2001. Two weeks later it went flying off the roof of a car doing 45 mph. (thank Machina credit cards insure your purchases for 30 days!) Went through a couple of free replacements my first year of college (I actually went through five computers my first year. Every time I got stressed I blew the motherboard) but after that, it's all been cast-offs as people I know replace theirs.
My most recent acquisition came from PA's "State Surplus Store." It's a Dell Optiplex GX520. Cost my room mate (it was a b-day present) $35. All it needs is a new hard drive (since it was gov't they screw the hard drives or whatever) and some upgraded RAM. I've already got a killer graphics card. So it's at this point in time that I'm thinking of custom building a case for the components.
So yea, that's my techo-life story. I have a tendancy to over-think things, which kind of messes up my "just go for it" intuition, so I might be asking a lot of questions, mostly about heat.
So yea. Thnx for the read!

Howdy all!
I just joined because I am about to build a new pc, parts should arrive middle of next week. The case I ordered, Cooler master HAF 922, doesnt have a side window and I think I want to put one in. I was searching for case mods on the 922 and remembered seeing an Alien and a Doom3 mod years ago and searching for those brought me back here.

I started building my own PC's 14 or 15 years ago but never did any mods to them. Like I said I want to put in a side window on the case im getting but it might be a while before I do since my tower is in a cubby on the side of my desk and not out on display. I guess well see what happens.

First post here. Lurked a few times and decided to register.

My first project will probably over this Christmas break. I'm thinking that I will build a garage/shop PC with whatever I have around. I know I have an old DFI lanparty mobo and an AMD FX55 cpu that I'm thinking I might use. If not I have something else if you guys think I could use the lanparty mobo and fx55 for something better than a shop pc that wont get used a lot. Anyway, this place is great.

Welcome!

We enjoy new people here.

Take a look at the Handbook. It'll answer most of your questions as to what the rules are around here.

We can't wait to see what you're up to!

Hey Guys!
Joined TBCS because I'm just interested in modding (planning on modding soon :crossed:). I mean for a 15 year old, it's gotta be a challenge, and since I like challenges :D I thought I'd start by joining TBCS. :)

Through the miracle of stumbling across this place through googling something or other...here I am.

Some here may even recognize my user name from the distant past. Former modding forum staffer, veteran modder, even partnered in a modding supplies store back in the day.

It's great to see such a thriving modding forum even if the bar has been raised to such an amazing height. Great projects here! I look forward to learning as well as contributing what I can with my old school ways.

Yes, I do have a project as well and am posting on the air-cooled version of such. It's a compact i7 gaming rig housed in a Lian-Li PC-V354 case that I plan to watercool using very few oversized fans. Looking forward to the feedback and tips once I can start in earnest. :D

Hello all, my name is PM_DMNKLR, pronounced like how it looks. The PM is for my small-time, private gaming group/clan, the Plastic Monkeys, and the rest should be pronounced as "demon killer". Anyway, I'm not a noob to the industry, just a noob to this forum, as an active member anyway. I've often visited here over the last couple of years, since I know members on here, from elsewhere, and of course they post their projects on here :) Anyway, if you wish to know more, which is unlikely :P, then hit me up with a PM or something... pun not intended, lol.
