Default Not a million dollars, but still pretty cool

    found this page using Stumbleupon

I think it looked nice, but it doesn't look like the greatest one i've ever seen

EDIT: just read the headline on the next page. I like that concept. Sounds like the way we do things here.

well to bad all it does it look good,

he will be spending lots of time dealing with galvanic corrosion.

also deal with those none clamped hoses....

    but it doesn't look nice.

He could have used an odd sealant or something. Silicone maybe?

well i don't see any type of thread through the hose.

either way the biggest problem is the copper/alu mixing.

Actually the tubing was just heated in hot water and forced over slightly too small fittings. When the tube cools down it molds to the fitting creating an air tight seal as good as any clamp system.

Aren't those rads copper core with alu fins anyway???

I really like that system. It may not be the most powerful but it serves its purpose and looks awesome.

I would use Google translator but am too lazy HAHA. I do know that he used hot hatter to attach the tubing to the fittings without clamps. Tygon actually recommend it that way.

Note that the 7/16" and 5/16" alternatives to the standard 1/2" and 3/8" ID matches the ID of most 1/2" and 3/8" hose barbs giving a smoother flow path as it's slightly smaller than the standards, simply heat up the tubing in warm water before pushing over barbs. Once it's shrunk down, it provides a snug tight seal generally abolishing the need for hose clamps. It has a very nice bend radius for tight bends without kinking. Although it's OD difference to 3/8" and 1/2" Tygon etc is minimal, it is sufficient to make for a cleaner looking, less cluttered system.

Ah, the guy who did the Phenom mod. That's pretty nice. Don't know why he doesn't advertise his work more. I appreciate the quality of his workmanship, but at the same time I feel like he's got a lot more creativity in him, and that he's letting himself be constrained by abstract notions; the way he defines his site as a collection of the most beautiful computers seems to back up my theory.

Still, I appreciate the sheer quality of his craftsmanship.
