My sectary just pointed this out to me. CVS pharmacy has a $99 netbook. Anyone care to look up the specs?

Thats more of a PDA with a keyboard then a netbook.
Its sporting a 400Mhz ARM CPU with 128MB of RAM. I think most of us here would find it a frustrating experience.
Wow. My Compaq laptop that's about 10 years old has better specs.
And I modded it to have builtin wifi!
People that buy these are the same ones who come up to you and say: "Are these really good?"
Duh, you get what you pay for.

I knew it'd be crappy when I saw CE.
Also, Sylvania.

I'll stick with my pimped out ancient Dell Axim X51v PPC. It basically has better specs (when a decent SDHC card and external keyboard are plugged in), although touchscreen dimensions are much smaller. At least it (along with accessories) all fits into my pocket.
Yes, WinCE by any name is utter crap. Ergo the hacked firmware and linux boot option. To be honest, it's portable and handy but otherwise frustrating; I mostly just use it for pdfs and winamp. People used to always ask "is that a palm?" or "is that a blackberry?", today they ask "is that the new iphone?"
My mind says Technic, but my body says Duplo.
