    Default DD-WRT Bandwidth Limit

How do you limit bandwidth with ddwrt? One of the PC's in this house sucks up the entire bandwidth as if it has priority over everything else. I tried limiting it before but it doesn't seem to have any effect at all. ?

Try setting QoS rules instead. They're better.

Basically, instead of saying "Computer [x] has a limit of [z] b/s", you set up a heirarchy of priority, so you can just place any computers you want to have preference higher in the heirarchy, and any that you don't want to have preference lower. For example, I have mine set up so that my fileserver has the lowest possible priority. That way, if I want to do something bandwidth-heavy on my main desktop, the server gets out of the way, but if nothing else needs bandwidth, the server gets the whole pipe.
