I have been wanting to post the pictures of the project I am doing to let you guys give me feed back, and to show just how helpful your answers and advise have been. But I don't know how to post pictures here from places like photobucket. would some one be so kind as to tell me how to do this?
    thanks

    EDIT:
Nevermind I figured it out thanks though for your time again

Probably the best and easiest is to use lotech hosting.

Simply upload your picture, then copy and paste the link provided into your message. Best to use the thumbnail option, so your pictures don't mess up the thread.

nope... that was a Temp position...

Check out my screenshot, you'll see I have an interview here on thursday. Similar gear though, but it's broadcast stuff rather than recording studio.

Different position too, IT tech this time, unless they decided from my CV that they want me to do electronic stuff.

Xmastree! I've missed you so! There've been so many threads where I thought... xmastree will straighten this out, he's the kinda guy for this question... and then you weren't there! *sobs*

Yeah. So, to completely hijack a thread, do you know anything about stepper motors?

    Well,

I am building myself a CNC machine. It's pretty much done except for the electronics. I have the motors, and controller and everything, but I am having some issues with my motors hooked up to the computer. Observe said post on CNCzone...

    http://cnczone.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30025

The motors are set up and connected all ready, so you can pass through that.. it's just that now, their motion is very jerky, and they won't go in full, smooth circles when controlled via computer.

Well, I can't really help much, as the only stepper motors I've dealt with are much bigger than yours. About 4" diameter and 10" long! And the controller design was already done, I just repaired them when they went bang...

However, looking at the pictures, I don't see any smoothing capacitors on the board. Maybe the noise from the motors is affecting the controller chip?

I wouldn't know anything about it, I'll have to bring that up with my friend's father, who I have been unable to get a hold of for a while now.
