I like the idea but the watertemp. barly changes. I would implant 1 or 2. 1 for the radiator and 1 after or something like that. Altough I think even then there will be only a Delta of 3-4 degreas.
And you have to be carefull with epoxy indeed. I've heard many stories that it came lose after a while.

I would think that the epoxy would be totally inert and last forever. We have given some thought to trying an acrylic bathroom type caulk. The idea being that we could always remove the sensors from the caulk if we wanted to. Epoxy is so permenant!
