My main car is a 1993 Acura Vigor. 5 cylinder in-line automatic with 211k miles, engine rebuilt last year. Barring a wreck this thing will go for another 15 years. It is like this, except silver:

This is what I get to ride a few times a summer. We actually just filmed a pilot episode for a new MTV show that may or may not ever happen with our hovercraft:

This is my main vehicle. And I too will eventually upgrade to an 09 Ninja 650R, albeit in two or three years.

I ride it as much as I can :

5cyls are so interesting. I have had people argue with me that they don't exist. Up until the point I show them how many spark plugs there are on a Volvo Whiteblock or other 5-cyl car.

On that note, if I was gonna get a 5-cyl car, I'd get me one of these:

Volvo V-70 R AWD, pre-1999. 240hp turbocharged inline-5 engine. Enough room to haul stuff, enough power to haul ass.

A car buddy of mine (Lexus IS300 + $10k aftermarket) was riding with me one day and asked about the engine. He didn't believe me until I popped the hood and watched him mentally go "One.. two.. three.. four.. holy ****!"

It is a 2006 Kawasaki Ninja 250R with 3500 miles and counting. She is my 21 yo girlfriend of Passion fame.

I totally agree with this. The SO has a 2001 outback with a wimpy engine. It out corners my 2002 mustang by a MILE! We use it to go snowboarding and it is great when the wave you through at the chain checkpoints.. 185k on it and just now starting to have any engine issues.

MY ride is a '96 Sportster. Modified. Heavily...
It's not your laid back ride, but more aggressive. Still less than 100 miles on the engine rebuild so I am not allowed to go over 70mph or 3500rpm whichever comes first. Can't wait for my first dyno run to see what this baby is pulling. Should be in the range of 110hp or more...

My SO's other ride is a 1975 Toyota Landcruiser. I love that truck, but can barely afford to drive it. 12 mpg WHEN it runs good...

Pictures when I figure out how to get my gallery working.

I was meant to post these ages ago, never got around to doing it so here goes.
    My 2005 Subaru Liberty:

Not bad for an 18 year old ey . The car actually isn't actually mine, it belongs to my parents but seeing as I needed a car to get to Uni this year (bus trip is 2 hours, car is 30 mins lol) dad decided to buy my mum a new car (2009 Subaru Liberty Heritage) and give me free reign of this one. Now we have 3 Subaru's, the two Liberties (Legacy for those of you in the US and Europe) and my dad has an 2008 Tribeca (not the dog ugly one lol) as a company car.
    Enjoy .

I've never driven, much less ridden in, a V70R... but they're basically lowered, firmed-up V70XCs with a much more powerful (very tuned) engine? If that's the case, they're utterly brilliant cars until something needs fixing. In which case they're still utterly brilliant cars if your previous car was from France, Italy, or Great Britain.

    Yeah, they're still 5cyl T-5 whiteblocks.

    240hp, stiffer suspension, overall better.

Also, I am currently driving nothing, because my 240 blew a heater hose. tomorrow it will get fixed hopefully though.

also, I got hit by a dodge stratus out in the east bay. they took off, though. which, in hindsight, is probably a good thing, because I probably would have gotten tagged with the blame for it, despite the fact that they were speeding.

    the carnage

Quarter-panel, turn signal, little trim piece? That could've been a lot worse. Hope they screwed over their car royally.

(I have a mostly-rational hatred for the Stratus.)

Glad the 245 shrugged it off, though!
