    Default RetroMod (cardboard case)

    RetroMod
If you read that right, it's cardboard
it is a retrofuturistic computer, without being steampunk. the first images do not say much, first, a box of a case which will be the body of the project, the carton is not the best so that will suffer several reinforcements. My English is not good so you will see many pictures and few words.

    This is the front

then sandpaper all to have a uniform surface that will be covered with cardboard and paper.

    several structural reinforcements

the base of the box was paste.

everything is covered with cardboard and then with paper.

    Adios from 3rd world

    Hi,
It's over with cardboard covering all case.

Reinforcement was placed so as not to bend the cardboard to be cut
section where be mount the motherboard.

Now begins the process of covering everything with two layers of paper, before being painted, it will INDESTRUCTIBLE! Hahaha ... (evil laugh)

Interesting. Nice work on that bulgy-thing on the top.

It sort of looks like R2-D2. Perhaps I'm just seeing things.

Pretty cool mod either way! I love these sort of "arts and crafts" pieces. It's oddly much more interesting than using sheet metal or plexiglass.

    Looking forward to seeing more!

placed the other side and put a cardboard to match the floor.

also put other aesthetic detail on the top that it will continue to front.

placement of coated paper layers to strengthen the entire structure while matching details.

    Is completely covered with paper.

strengthened the side of the window

    Fan output

put these paper strips took me all day

I already started with the painting, a pair of thick layers of paint and then sanded and then continue with more detailed painting.

Looking great. Is that logo from something? It looks suspiciously like the Zelda coat of arms (never played any myself but had a friend who was...what's a nice word for obsessed? ).
