Some people just shouldn't be let near a computer. Like DIY wireless mouse by one with a cord and cut the cord off. "But my mouse don't work" they cry.

Ya, I had my first computer which was a super fast 486 33mhz, and I was so eager to learn how to do all sorts of stuff to it. I was told a rule about a power cable that I found that was not true after all. I was told that the yellow wire on a molex connecter was suppose to be on the side of molex connecter closes to the ribbion cable. So I go to hook up a hard drive that did not follow the rule and fix the connecter to were it did, and turned it on. I quickly learn not to change the way things fit, because from that computer came a puff of smoke. It was pretty, it happened quick, and I pretty quickly learned a lesson at age 12.Oh come on now I gotta know what you did...

Anyone have the link from the first post in their cache? Send it to me, and i'll give it a nice home on the TBCS server for a while...mainly so i can show everyone in the Department of Computer Science @ Glasgow Uni.
