Been very busy with my new job (was unemployed for a year) and have to work overtime too. In the evenings I dont have much time or energy left to do a lot of modding. Gradually it goes a bit better, so here is a update.
During the build I found that the "nose" was going to give me trouble if I didnt modify it.

First in regular paper to see what I needed.

Then made it from Forex hardfoam plate.

From the inside it looks like a weld.

Last triangle piece with the edges bare for the construction kit, mid piece I wil remove after the spraypaint.

    Looking through the plexi.

I will smoothen out all the edges.

Looks great, I love the 117-inspired lines. Congrats on the new job too! Crappy hours is still better than nothing.

Yea, at least you have steady work. I suppose it sucks being to work at 6:00 in the morning, but I'm a high school student, so I know what you deal with, hahaha

    Thanx guys !

Total view from the right (sorry bit hazy)

    View from left.

View from back left. You can see that the PC components in the front will also be radically altered because of the beveled pieces.

To make the 'welds' more smooth, I warmed the kit in a bucket of hot water.

Cant see it very clearly here, but its smoother.

    Getting the sharp tools out.

Knife against the plate and slowly cutting.

Afterwards some light sanding and there you go.

And after a few more hours, some knicks and slices, you'll be all done with the seams!

    Looks great! nice smooth seems.

I wonder though, did you get all the strength back into the case. That was my concern when you first started cutting... Looks pretty sturdy now though

    keep it up!
