Default raid with 2 diffrent drives.

i have 2 diffrent drives a 120 and a 180. i know the 180 will go down to a 120 the specs are basically the same but for some reason the 180 has a slower write/read time then the 120. if i raid 0 these and use them as my default drive for the os and some programs will. it be slower then a single platter 500 gb i think that reads writes at about 90/60 or something like that. also i herd the ga-890fx has 4x the speed with raid 0 so idk if that helps or not i cant find any proof of concept on it.

There's no way anyone can answer that without knowing the read/write speeds of the drives to be arrayed. The array should be 1.5-2x faster than the slowest drive.
    I'll procrastinate tomorrow.

Like mDust said, can't know without knowing the drives, but I'm guessing it would likely be slower than a new, single platter 500GB drive.

That could only possibly happen if you had 4 drives in the array. The figure mDust mentioned scales..ish a RAID-0 array will be around 0.75n to 1.0n if all drives are identical with drive speed n.

Those are good solid drives. I had 5 of them at one point comprising a large portion of my old fileserver. ..ran for about 3-4 years, 24/7, under heavy use almost 24/7 for about 1.5 of those years, before they finally needed to be replaced (that was back when Seagate did 5 year warranties).

They still have the 5 year warranty on the enterprise class drives. I think the consumer grade drives only have 3 years, but it may have more to do with the model.
