    Thanks for the info. I also like the Cannon camera's but have not owned one since my SLR went swimming... I think my current point and shoot is a Pentax (guess I would know for sure if I used it more). Takes _great_ pictures and has taken a beating from Scotland to China, to Mexico, to Alaska and has had 0 problems. I have not heard too good of things about their digital cameras though.

    Turns out I am not going to Irvine next week, rather I am heading to Orlando to install a new system for a Customer _before_ the Golf conference. (I will post a simple worklog for that system when I start. Should be a beast!)

    That drink will have to wait until july. We just booked our trip to London to attend the wedding blessing of the wife's youngest sister. Once that is done, we are going to travel up to Glasgow. We have been looking at doing the loop around the southwestern part of the country. We plan to start in Glasgow, and head south through Ayr then around to Stranraer and then continue around the loop. Not been to that area of the country, so not sure what we will be doing...(recommendations are welcome!) Oh the Blessing is taking place in Chew Stoke, just outside of Bath.

    Ok, just used my birthday money to purchase a camera. Thanks for all the feedback and suggestions and in the end I went with this;
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...arch%26fvi%3D1
    because of the deal and extras. I had not planned on getting the lenses, but could not pass this deal up. I had to kick in a little more than I wanted but it all worked out and the Finance Minister is happy too! I just ordered it and will post a few picks when it arrives.

    Thanks again all!

    Edit: I must say that I have become a ups whore over this package. for the first couple of days I was going to the ups web site and tracking the package. Not very informative since the only information for days was ;

    MASPETH,
    NY, US 01/25/2007 11:20 P.M. DEPARTURE SCAN

    Ok so I know they are driving across country and it takes a little while, but I could not resist the urge to track that package every couple of hours. Then my Shipping Manager showed me the page where I could watch the package via gps! I was sooo excited, but then I was shot down. It was not shipped using our account, so we could not view it's whereabouts. Oh well, refresh, refresh, refresh. I cold not believe how obsessed I was with tracking that ground shipment. I have had packages shipped before and never once even went to the tracking site unless it was late. Then yesterday;
    SAN PABLO,
    CA, US 01/30/2007 2:15 P.M. ARRIVAL SCAN

    Oh jeez, can I just drive up there and pick it up!?!?! hehe see I am obsessed.

    Oh and then to my surprise, I see this this morning;
    SUNNYVALE,
    CA, US 01/31/2007 6:52 A.M. OUT FOR DELIVERY
    01/31/2007 3:02 A.M. ARRIVAL SCAN
    SAN PABLO,
    CA, US 01/31/2007 1:43 A.M. DEPARTURE SCAN

    Oh yeah baby! One day early too! UPS truck gets here by 11am! Lets see if I get any work done this afternoon, or if I am playing with the camera...

    Got the camera today a day early! Lots of goodies to play with and I will post some more info and pics of the kit. I have not done anything with it yet, but installed the batteries and set the date and snapped a few test pics to make sure everything is working. So far I am extremely happy!
