    Default Thanks UPS

I missed the first attempt on 8-10 so they left a note saying they'd try again 8-11 between 10:30am and 2pm. I work graveyard so I was up from 7pm 8-10 all night... and had to stay up after work so I could sign for my package. I waited... and waited... and waited. Around 5pm I called UPS and they said their truck was running late and they assured me it would be delivered "TO--DAY!."

I finally went to sleep after being up for 27 hours. I just woke up at 2am and checked the tracking to see if they in fact ever did come or maybe they'd leave a note saying when they'd try again 8-12... nope. It actually says it's still out for delivery! Did the UPS truck get stolen or some ****? Is my package down in Mexico or something? lol

Nobody likes there little post-its on the door. I swear they run from the truck
to the door and back like flash or something. You can schedule to pick it up from
the local station or you can leave a note with your signature on the door.

They do have a set amount of time they can spend at each delivery. Its not very long. My ups guy knocks 3 times in a row sets the package on the steps and hes on his way back to his truck. He told me one time if someone doesn't show up to the door in 30 seconds he sticks a note on the door and moves on to the next delivery.

Even for businesses they don't like to stick around long. If we have to send out anything with the driver you can tell he's itching to get going again if its not fully ready for him. I do hate making them wait for me cause I know how many places they have to stop at. Here though our UPS central hub is only open to customers for like 2 hours each night so if I have to go pick something up then I need to make the time to get there.

I am done shipping with UPS. I am waiting for a package, the tracking number never updated beyond billing. Finally called and managed to talk to a person, was told it would show up that same day (yesterday) and it never showed. If I don't have it by the time I get home I am calling back and complaining, I didn't even get a note.

That's messed up. If they did that here, I think I would do like the guy did about the airline breaking his guitar and make a song about it.

Well, lets try to be a little fair here. They have a crapload of stops to make every day, and they have to make each and every one. Now, I'm not justifying some of the things they do, but honestly, ups put an incredible amount of pressure on it's employees, and not just the drivers.

But I certainly won't disagree with you, waiting sucks. Although it can be a nice surprise when the tracking number says its still moving but oh! its here!
