    Default Final Painting and Assembly

So I listened to SOC and here is what happened!

It came out looking pretty good

The PSU didn't come out so well... damn humidity! I mean you can't really tell unless your up close to it... and lets face it. Its in the back of the case.

Lets get this beast put together! Still a few minor things to do but I just couldn't help myself last night.

    CPU and water block installed.

    RAM installed.

    Pump and Video Cards installed.

    Rad installed.

So I had to do a crazy loop in the system to get the Rad connected to to the Res... it doesn't look terrible right?

And finally the last hose from the Res to the pump.

    All done!

Powered up with no issues or leaks!

Man that blue temp monitor looks out of place... I really need to get motivated and order the LEDs and Resistors.

Inside looks crappy with the window on and the glare. Better pictures will come... eventually.

The light comes through the Res and doesn't look terriable. Still havn't decided if I'm going to put a white or red LED in it to give it some shine.

Maybe there will be some sleeving in the mail today and I can finish the small things up.

    Cheers till then.

I figured out how to get the mesh cover to stick to the optical drive.... hot glue the sucker . It was actually more than that. I had to file more of the bay cover "housing" away so it was not stopping the mesh cover from going a little bit further back. But the end all product is awesome looking. I'll try to take some pics in the next few days.

I'm not going to take pics of the last cables I sleeved... everyone has seen that before so its no real big deal.

I'm working on getting SLI setup but right now I am just using the 2 cards individually to fold. They only use the GPU2 client but still putting out almost 7k PPD each and my i7 is putting out 13k PPD but I've seen it as high as 26k PPD. Its OC'd to 4.4 GHz right now. Will try for 5Ghz soon.

The water is cooling well enough I would say. Not sure what good temps are but it is around 25-27C when idle and 33-35C when folding/gaming. Is that normal? I try to keep the office AC on 23 C but the wife thinks thats too cold. I'm sure the system would run better in a colder room. The fans are pushing out 31C air.

Once I take the final pics this mod is done! On to Maximus Serverus

    Cheers till later.

I ordered the LEDs and resistors for the Temp Probe display. Will have that late next week.

    Got some new stuff!

New ATX cable. Red is good

USB 3.0 header for my mobo

Card reader. 1 for this mod and 1 for the new server

I'm doing some more painting as we speak so I should have an update tomorrow or Saturday.

    Cheers till then.

I worked on the LED for the temp gauge last night. Didn't take many pics over the 3 hours it took me to do this because it was extremely frustrating.

You can see the LED I need to remove

    End result

I honestly didn't think I was going to be able to do it after the first hour or so. The LED was just so small and so was the resistor. But I did so enjoy the eye candy.

    Cheers till later.
